Harmony

Cello Player under the tree
Cello Player under the tree

just like music it has low and high tone, slow and fast rhythm
so as love
just like music sometime it drives you mad sometimes it makes you comfortable
so as love

as for me it drives me to scratch,

to make a trace on a sheet of paper

with strong and smooth lines,

hard and soft edges

I cant played any music but at least I can hear the harmony through my ear and felt it with my heart
I dont care if people mock me when they saw my drawing or when I moved around my head because of the music
Just listen, feel and than scratch …

ps: I DO love music.

Drawing people project #2

After playing with my charcoal (that i bought couple month ago) in my ballerina draw, I’m so addicted with this tools. On this draw I used a pencil to sketch the outline and the figure. After that, I’ve tried to add some charcoal in the background to make the figure came out.

Well, I think this experiment was quite success.  *I hope 😀

So, what do you think?  Continue reading “Drawing people project #2”

Cold Wet and Dark

Cold,
every particle of air that touches the skin, it absorbs heat from the body.
As a bloodthirsty vampire.
Wet,
feels heavy to move. Because in every crevice cell was crowded by water atoms scattered aimlessly.
Dark.
When hot body has disappeared, as the sun loses axis.

When the body becomes silent. As a stone that just freezes, while the water slowly erode.

Thus, the dark.
There was no light, no movement. Only dark black.

Realism studies #1

This was my first gesture studies for Realism. I take a figure picture from the web. I draw this using HB pencil on my Aohwen sketchbook. On this gesture, I tried to pay attention in the value and shape, more than the figure it self.

I’m working with just one pencil, to build the mid and dark tone. I found it a little bit difficult at the beginning, because my brain trying to disturb. But, I tried to ignore it. Forcing my self to focus on the shape and value rather than the figure (like i told you before).

Perhaps, sometime you could try this, using a weird figure pose. So, you can focus on building the shape and value.
